Kelly, I've known you since 4th grade, you were one of the most funny guys, and you were really nice. When you hearse passed by Nathan Hale, everyone was standing outside. Your homeroom 112(the one im in) we wore hockey jerseys and we set off balloons since you were in out class. I thought it was okay that you put your stuff in my desk, but now since your gone it's not the same. Kelly I hope you have a great afterlife. Dear Ryan Family,
My nephews had the honor of playing hockey with your precious son, Kelly. He was a special young man who was very well-liked. Your loss is beyond comprehension, and countless prayers are being sent your way. God bless you and your family during this unimaginably difficult time. May you find comfort in these words:
We little knew that morning
that God would call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, and
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you;
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories, and
your love is still our guide.
Although we cannot see you,
you're always by our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But, as God calls us one-by-one,
our chain will link again.
Kelly's memory will live on; he will never be forgotten by those he touched.
God Bless.

We don't know each other but I have been thinking of you and Kelly none the less.
Driving to work Thursday morning I noticed your son's name in the window. I never paid attention before but yesterday was different.
I am the mother of 4 and cannot fathom the pain you are feeling. I don't know why but I am compelled to share a short story with you.
When my oldest daughter was 5 my husband tragically lost his "baby" sister (and only sibling). He was sitting on the couch upset and crying. He has always believed children have a special link to God and His angels. He asked her: Do you see Auntie? She said: Yes, Daddy. I do. He asked her: Where? And she said: Everywhere.
It gave him such comfort and I hope this story does in some way does for your as well. Your beloved Kelly IS everywhere. Hold tight to the memories and realize his is in every raindrop, cloud or ray of sunshine.
God Bless you and God Bless Kelly.

You and I became friends last year when you so generously helped your Aunt Ali during her illness and last days.
I remember you speaking of your son Kelly's love and involvement in hockey, and how your whole family shared in traveling to games together.

Dear Ryan family. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Kelly was introduced into my life the night the lord took him home. I was one of the many fighting that fight with him to keep him here. Words cannot express what I want to say. But that night, he touched my heart. I hope you will find the some inner peice with this poem. I'm so very sorry for you loss. joslyn (peds resp therapy)
"I'll lend to you for a little time,
A child of mine," God said,
"For you to love while he lives
And mourn for when he's dead."
"It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you till I call him back,
Take care of him for me?"
"He'll bring his charms to gladden you
And should his stay be brief,
You'll have these precious memories
To comfort you through grief."
"I cannot promise he will stay
Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn."
"I've looked this world over,
In my search for teachers true.
In the crowds of this great land,
I have selected you."
"Now will you give him all your love
Not think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call
To take him back again?"
It seems to me I heard them say,
"Dear Lord, thy will be done.
For all the joys a child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run."
"We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known
Forever grateful stay."
"And should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand."

My deepest condolences on the loss of your son, Kelly. I did not have the honor of knowing him, but my daughter did. She had just met Kelly this past month, and he obviously made quite an impression on her. She would tell us and her friends how he was so funny and nice. Please let your many memories allow you to smile through the tears. Be proud in knowing that in a short time, he had a huge impact on his peers, and let it console you during your grief.Your family will remain in our prayers.

Dear Ryan Family,
Your sudden loss brings me back to the day and the days after my dear Mother died. I wanted the world to stop and take notice that one of its special people was no longer living. I could not accept how life could go on without her. I also remember however an awesome presence of His peace. I pray that you all will find comfort in that same--if unexplainable--Peace.
Fondly,
Mrs. Barbara Dargis

Phil, Chris, McKenna & Hannah,
No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve. Kelly was a great kid and a very sweet boy. We will remember him always.
