Len, Cheryl, Lauren and Whitney,

I just learned of Katie's passing and wanted to send my heartfelt condolences. When we rode horses together she was always a constant cheerful presence in the barn. Her passion for life, capacity for friendship and sense of humor were so refreshing and uplifting. Knowing her was such a positive experience.

Dear Lauren and Cerullo family,
I am so heartbroken to hear that Katie passed away. My heart goes out to you. Lauren, I'm around if you need another hand to do anything for you or you just need an ear to listen. Katie was one of the more thoughtful, free-thinking women who went to OPRF with us back in the day. She always made me laugh, because she was very matter-of-fact in her opinions of everything from cafeteria food to the affect of home coming queen courts on the role of women. Ladies who are so outspoken and creative like Katie aren't found around every corner. She will be greatly missed. Much, much love to you and your extended family and close friends.

Dear Dr. Cerullo & Family,
We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Katie. Although we did not know her well it is apparent that she had many friends and had a love of life, cooking, family, her pets, and the arts. Hopefully, this season of Christmas will be a time of healing, remembrance, and a source of strength for your family.

With our love and thoughts,

Setsuko & Dean Monma

To the family, love ones and friends of precious Katie: I wish there was a magic wand in life that can ease the pain of others when such a tragic loss happens. But in life there is no magic wand. I do hope and pray that knowing many have shed tears, hurt deeply and will miss such a wonderful and precious gift that Katie was, offers some tiny bit of comfort when I know there seems to be none with a loss of one's child. There are many you know and many more you don't who are experiencing the loss with you. That only happens when the person who has departed from this green earth leaves so many with the pleasure of having her touched the hearts of so many in life. I will pray that you have the strength and power to understand that although Katie was here for a short time, she brought so many the happiness that many who live three times as long will never achieve. And because of that I am sure she is resting with the angels and still loving all of you as strongly as she did when she was here.
