Working with Kit was always fun, and truly a pleasure. She is already missed. My deepest sympathies go out to her husband and children, she never stopped talking about you all. :) Take care, and God bless.

My deepest sympathies go out to Kit's beloved family. I had the pleasure of meeting Kit in October 1985 when we both returned to teaching at Hale Primary School. She was a wonderful teacher and mentor. We would always share stories of our children, as they were somewhat close in age. Even when I was sent to the other side of the district we kept in touch and I always knew Kit was there for me whenever I needed her. We would talk about kids, husbands, jobs, hopes for the future and how lucky we were to be doing a job we both loved. This past summer we both had children get married and I will never forget the fun we had sharing wedding pictures at Lincoln School while waiting to catch a bus back to our home schools. I will miss her laughter, her smile and most of all her. She truly touched my heart, as well as the heart of all she came in contact with. I will never forget her and consider myself a far better person for having had Kit Peters in my life. God Bless You Kit.

I am still in complete shock and denial. Mrs. Peters has always been there for me, especially when I needed her the most. She has touched my life in more ways than anyone else ever has. She still is a wonderful, kind, and compassionate woman. She deserves every bit of happiness she ever received and will receive. Because of her, I have learned how to get through the hard stuff and to never give up. I know she will be watching over everyone and anyone who she possibly can. I wish the family my deepest sympathies and like she was for me, I will be there for you.

We are still reeling in disbelief at the sad news of Kit's sudden and unforseen death. She was such a positive person who loved life and her family. As neighbor and friend, we shared many experiences of stay-at-home moms with young children. Our Nirmal and Alwyn were classmates of Matt and Amy. One funny incident from those distant days sticks in my memory. Apparently, Kit had just seen Matt and Amy off to St Joseph's school on the bus. Driving past the Peters' house I noticed Kit out in front in her pyjamas. She had locked herself out of the house! She just laughed. I don't remember how the situation got resolved, only Kit laughing. That is how I will always remember her. Our prayers are with Dave and the family she loved. We will miss you, Kit.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Peters family in this most troubling of times. My fondest memories of Kit are of football games at Providence, mass at St. Bernards with the whole Peters crew sitting in the same place every week, and of how she would always be there at her children's activities. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, including me and the entire Baker, Providence, and Notre Dame family.

Shock and disbelief are the reactions we have at the news of Kathleen's death. We were closer to Doug and Lorraine than to their great kids, but they were a package deal. Our hearts are filled with great sorrow for the grief her family is bearing. Her impact was profound for so many people. Her physical presence is gone, but her spirit and legacy live on. Our thoughts and prayers to all who were fortunate enough to know her

Words cannot express the shock and horror of hearing of Kit's death. My thoughts went immediately to her family, as she was ALWAYS talking about them, sharing stories, telling about new jobs, weddings, and just life in general at home. Her family was her life, yet I knew her as a teacher. I am a substitute teacher at Nathan Hale; Kit became my friend, and treated me just like a "regular" teacher; she was always laughing and smiling, and this is how I will remember her. My heart goes out to her family as well as her fellow teachers, as I have seen the sorrow in their eyes. Few people have touched so many so sincerely, and I feel blessed to have known her. All my respects, Mary Ellen McFEE
