Schwerdlin, Karen Colleen (nee Forrest), 48, beloved wife of Howard, devoted mother of Jason and Ashley Schwerdlin, cherished daughter of Thomas and the late Maude Forrest, dear sister of Susan (Glen) Serafiniak, Thomas (Kathy) Forrest, Colleen (Martin) Hart and the late Patricia (David) Coredig, loving and wonderful aunt. Services Friday, 1 p.m., at Chicago Jewish Funerals Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd. (one block north of Lake Cook Rd.), Buffalo Grove. Entombment Westlawn Cemetery Chapel. Visitation Thursday, 7 to 9:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made to the Division of Organ Transplantation of Northwestern Memorial Foundation Hospital, 750 N. Lake Shore Drive, Suite 542, Chicago, IL, 60611 or to the Chicago Police Unit 207, Nurses School Fund, American Legion Auxillary, c/o Jeani Brandt, 2720 E.
