Dear Trudie,
May the peace of your good memories with Uncle Jay help you through this difficult and sad time.
I remember Uncle Jay as a good person that I looked up to as a youth for guidance. I still have a letter with his words of wisdom that he wrote me when I joined the Air Force in 1973. His advice then is still golden now.
At Dad's 80th birthday party, Uncle Jay told me about his Purple Heart when in combat on Guadalcanal.
Uncle Jay was a great friend to Dad and others in the Chicago area.
We will miss him and mourn his passing, but know that he is at peace.
