Aunt Julia, your family will miss you very much, but your love and thoughtfulness will always be with us for eternity. Your commitment to family and church was a priority in your life. Our family will continue to be strong, faithful, and together always, no matter how far or near.

I loved my Great-Aunt Julia. In all the years of knowing her, I've never heard her complain...not even once. It was always a joy to be in her presence. She was a beacon of light here on earth, and that light will always shine. I will truly miss her smile, her soft voice, her kindness, her style and just her way. Such a wonderful, positive lady! Such a life well lived! Such a honor to be related to her.

Julia was a great friend of our family. She worked with my mother, Virginia Hansen at The Polley Shop on N. Michigan Avenue and babysat for me when I was a little boy and went to the shop. I last saw her when Rita & I had lunch with her and my Mom at the Walnut Room at Fields, probably in the 1980's. But we always sent and received a card at Christmas and was sad not to have received one this year. She was a remarkable lady and we always marveled at her spirit. We spoke with her at the time of her 100th birthday and sent her a small charm commenmorating her having lived in 3 centuries. We will always remember with great fondness.

Aunt Julia was my Hero. She was such an inspiratioon to all of us. It was an honor to be in her presence. She loved her family and always had good advice for all. She lived her life to the fullest. I will never forget her words of encouragement. She believed that every moment of life was a gift from God. And I believe she was the Gift God sent to us. A Wade-Mckinley Reunion was not complete without Aunt Julia. Now we will have to follow in her foot-steps and March in the drum beat she set for us. I will miss her. But her spirit will always be with me. I love you Aunt Julia. I know you are enjoying your trip back home. Aunt Julia Made the family reunion from Baton Rouge, Jackson, Mississippi, Clevland and Chicago. Now we will bring it back to Clevland in her spirit. One Family, One Love. With All of our love to you Aunt Julia. Thank you for being there for all of us and in your Words in St. Louis this summer "WE are a great Family and we are proud of who we are and from whom we came." May we all live and hope to be and so as well as you. The Wade-Mckinley Family honors you.

The first time I met her was at our Wade/Mckinley family reunion in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the sharpest lady there. I admired her beauty and independence. May god bless her soul.
