I just received my annual Marywood newsletter and was saddened to read of Judy's passing. She was a year ahead of me in high school, but always treated us youngsters with respect. Her smile and laughter were constant, her basketball ability unsurpassed, and her friendship revered. I miss seeing her at the luncheons, and will keep her entire family in my prayers.

Dear Pete,

So sorry to read in the Diecke Center news letter , which I received last week, about Judy. She lived her life for others. How lucky you were that she was a part of your life. Any time is too soon to lose your partner. She will be missed by many.
You are in our prayers.

I had the pleasure of working with Judy at Hewitt, including a stint together on the Executive Committee. He sparkling eyes, beautiful smile, quick and engaging mind, and overall effervescence, energy and charm, will stay with me always. Life was a little brighter just to be in her presence. She will be deeply missed, but her impact remains.

I am devestated to learn of Judy's death! She was so brilliant and so beautiful and I will never forget what an incredible person she was. I had the honor of spending four years at Marywood Academy with her. She was a star basketball player; I was head cheerleader. She was our class valedictorian; I was Student Council President.. The last time I saw her was 13 years ago at our class of 1967 30th class reunion. When I walked into the party, no one except Judy recognized me: "It's Lori O'Connell, everyone!" she said, and to prove it, she abruptly pushed-back my bangs to reveal my thick, bushy eyebrows, my most notable identifying characteristic and the one about which Judy used to tease me in school. I am tearing-up at the thought of her loss. I pray God holds her tightly for all eternity. She was truly loved by so many.

Peter, I feel fortunate to have known Judy through her work at CDH. I respected her wealth of professional experience and leadership, but I enjoyed her vitality, ever present smile, and engaging personality. The room was always brighter in her presence. The conversation was always livelier when she spoke. Her warmth was felt by all around her. She was a truly genuine person who would always make you feel special.

With deepest sympathies,

It is like a VERY BRIGHT LIGHT is gone. I truly enjoyed working with Judy on a number of projects during the late 80's and 90's at Allstate. She is a true delight. I also believe she beat me on the golf course. So talented, in so many ways. I am truly sadden. My prayer and thoughts are with her family, and ALL of her friends. Tears and sorrow is the price we pay for friendship and love.
