Judith Buchanan Obituary

Buchanan, Judith B. 59, of Findlay, died 7:15 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2003, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay. She was born on February 28, 1944, in St. Louis, MO, to James and Bernice (Johnson) Teer. She married James Buchanan on February 12, 1975 and he survives in Findlay. She was a dedicated wife and mother to daughters, Alexis and Nicole Buchanan both of Atlanta, step-daughters, Vicki and Alicia Buchanan both of Indianapolis, step-sons, Richard Buchanan of Lima and James Buchanan Jr. of Indianapolis, also surviving are brothers, James Teer Jr., Sioux Falls, South Dakota and John Teer, Chicago, sisters, Jennifer Teer, Oakland, California, Mrs. Woody (Joyce) Williams, Morristown, New Jersey and Mrs. Rudy (Jean) Pryor, Chicago, IL, 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, nine nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Judy was a long time member of Mason Chapel AME Church, Findlay and a visiting member of Faith AME Church, Fostoria, past member of the Findlay City School Board, and a founding member of the Findlay Chapter of NAACP. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay, OH. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2003, at Mason Chapel AME Church, 845 Liberty St., Findlay. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Black Women's Wellness, 477 Windsor St., Suite 309, Atlanta, GA, 30312 in her memory.

JUST A NOTE TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT I'M CONTINUING TO KEEP US ALL IN PRAYER JUST LIKE JUDY WOULD HAVE WANTED US TO DO, SO CONTINUE TO BE STRONG AND KNOW THAT GOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL. LOVE JENNIFER
