Zelinka Sr., Joseph A. WWII Navy Vet., beloved husband of the late Mildred (nee Michalek), loving father of Kathleen (Joe) Chilton, Robert (Elizabeth), Joseph A. Jr. (Jo Ann), Michael (Mary), Mary Ann and Betty Ann (Lloyd) Kapelka, dear grandmother of Rae Ann, Dean, Daniel, Rob, Randy, Corey, Michael, Tammie, Scott, Kathy, Erik, Amber, Brandon, Josh, Nathaniel and Heather, great-grandfather of 16, fond brother of Charles (June) and Camille (Frank) Pecka, also many nieces and nephews. Funeral Wednesday, 9:15 a.m., from Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien, to Our Lady of Peace Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 2 to 9 p.m. Member of Our Lady of Knock Council #12882 K of C. 630-852-3595

Hi great grandpa this is Jordan.
I remember when you showed me your sword from world war two and I asked you if you ever killed anyone with it and you said no just a bird. We're going to miss you but i know that your going to be happeir where you are now. Say hi to great grandma for me. I love you!

Dear Dad, love and miss you so much already give mom a kiss for me tell her that i love and miss her too thank you for helping me out through my hard times and thank you for being there through all of the good times. I'm sorry i couldnt be there....i wanted to remember you seating outside looking at the lake .Tammie and Betty are going to take good care of me so you and Mom don't worry, I'll be all right.
