Joseph Vargas, age 97, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022. Joseph was born June 21, 1925. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Joan Vargas; Loving father of David (Pat), Carol (Tom) Keslin, Sue Strong, Laurie (Joe) Albert, Janet, Joseph, Daniel (Andria), Wayne (Huili), Gary (Kirsten), Luci (Kurt) Altman and Steven (Nina); Grandfather and great-grandfather of many; Dear brother of Lupe Garcia; Fond uncle, cousin and friend. A visitation for Joseph will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 S Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60655. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am on Friday, August 12, 2022 at St. Christina Catholic Church. Interment St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
