May 31, 2007

Aunt Marcie and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Uncle Joe's passing. I will always remember how very special he made everyone feel. His kind words and the expression on his face always let you know he loved you and he was happy to see you. He never once greeted me without telling me how beautiful I was! Mark told me the other day that he stopped him at our wedding and held his arm and questioned his intentions and expressed that he better make me happy forever...or else! That was Uncle Joe to me and I will never forget him.
I am sorry I can't be there to say goodbye to him, but he and all of you will be in my prayers.
Warmest Regards,
Gia and Mark Nealon and family

Our little parish has lost another great patron. I remember your father as generous and of great character. Surrounded by souls like him allowed many kids like me a great environment to grow up in. My sympathies on your loss. I feal your pain as earlier this month I lost my mother, Mary Ward, one of the first families of St. Mary's. We know O'Rouke was there to greet them both.

We are truly sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Valenti. We last saw him in the mid-90s attending Loyola Academy soccer games. His grandson and our son Dan were on the same team. He was the same warm gentleman that Mike remembered from growing up around the corner from his home in St. Mary of the Woods parish. He raised a wonderful family and will be missed. Our prayers are with him and your family.

Dear Valenti Family
From our mother Lavina (Lee) and Mr. Gene Beak, Ulfur and Carol, we will truly miss Mr. Valenti. He was a "powerhouse" and just a wonderful gentleman who had a great sense of people and a funny sense of humor. Mr. Valenti lived his life doing things "his way" and that is what made him unique.

How can we ever forget the wonderful years we had as neighbors and still stayed in touch after ,for all those years.Do you remember our dads blasting out each other with the greek and italian music over our outside speakers!Your dad was a wonderful ,kind man we have so many great memories! One of the greatest gifts our fathers left us ,was teaching us how to keep going no matter what comes our way ,especially them being both so sick for many years! They had the will to live, because they loved us all so much and wanted to be here with us.I know that we all will pass that down to our children and grandchildren. So sorry for you loss . love ,always Estelle
