I know this note is late in coming but I just recently heard about your loss. I am so sorry. I can remember your Father so well from our High School days. I know he meant the world to your family. My deepest sympathy. Take care and I hope all is well.

Its been a few months since his passing but the Comerford family will always remember and appreciate the friendship of the generous and kind Joe Valenti.

Mr. Valenti was an outstanding human being and businessman. He treated our family and our business with friendship and fairness over three generations and several decades. He left his mark for the better on several northeastern Illinois communities and towns. On behalf of the Schorsch family of Chicago, I offer our thanks, prayers, and condolences.

Always a gentleman

Aunt Marcie and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Uncle Joe's passing. I will always remember how very special he made everyone feel. His kind words and the expression on his face always let you know he loved you and he was happy to see you. He never once greeted me without telling me how beautiful I was! Mark told me the other day that he stopped him at our wedding and held his arm and questioned his intentions and expressed that he better make me happy forever...or else! That was Uncle Joe to me and I will never forget him.
I am sorry I can't be there to say goodbye to him, but he and all of you will be in my prayers.

Dear Marcie, Joe and Family, I just heard and am out of town, unable to make it back. Deeply saddened and so sorry for your, for all of our loss. I spoke to Joe, Sr. two weeks ago and we talked about having lunch together about now. He was a remarkable friend, a man who changed lives for better and forever. He changed and maybe saved mine. There are so many stories. He has been and will always be a light for so many. God bless him. A life well lived. It was such an honor to meet and become acquainted with you and your amazing husband. Our son, Daniel, often shared his admiration for Meghan's grandfather with us. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Our little parish has lost another great patron. I remember your father as generous and of great character. Surrounded by souls like him allowed many kids like me a great environment to grow up in. My sympathies on your loss. I feal your pain as earlier this month I lost my mother, Mary Ward, one of the first families of St. Mary's. We know O'Rouke was there to greet them both.

We are truly sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Valenti. We last saw him in the mid-90s attending Loyola Academy soccer games. His grandson and our son Dan were on the same team. He was the same warm gentleman that Mike remembered from growing up around the corner from his home in St. Mary of the Woods parish. He raised a wonderful family and will be missed. Our prayers are with him and your family.
