Joseph Tonery Sr. Obituary

Joseph E. Tonery Sr., 78, a lifelong resident of Manchester, New Hampshire, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Owner and Operator for 10 years of Tonery's Variety Store, Manchester, died at Elliot Hospital on Sunday, July 30, 2000, following a brief illness. Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 2000, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech Street (at the corner of Hanover Street), Manchester. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 3, 9 a.m., from the funeral home to St. Catherine Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at the new St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, New Hampshire. The family has requested donations be made to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
