My Deepest Sympathy to the entire Qualter family. Big Joe was a dear friend and co-worker to my late father Jerry. Joe was always one to help others no matter what it took. He was a true friend to many and will always be remembered as such a loving individual. God rest your soul Big Joe.

Dear Joe,
(Fellow Knight of Columbus) you were a friend to me. We had a lot of fun together on the resets and out of town resets. May God bless you for ever. I know that you are with God and your parents and I know you will do a great job on the resets up in heaven.

I was quite shocked and saddened when I got the call from Klaus on Monday morning that Joe had passed away. I worked with Joe many, many times during my time on the Jewel team with Advantage. Almost every Friday at 6am I would meet with Joe, Dick and Jerry at the Denny's near the office for breakfast in order to avoid morning rush hour. Even after I was placed on a different team I would normally see Joe once a week at the Jewel in Bolingbrook and often we would go next door for lunch. Joe was a great guy and I will miss him. My sincere condolences go out to his family. I wish that I could be there to wish him farewell.

Joseph, you were the best friend a person could ever have. Our exploits at National were fun-filled times. You even understood how we could "dent glass"!!!! Remember Louie and his "Looky, Looky, We have cookies!!"
You became a great "Uncle" to Kevin, who loved you dearly. You filled everyone's life with love and caring.
I know you are in heaven writing the inventory for God's next delivery.
God Bless You Joseph, and Pray for Us.

I was very saddened to hear of Joe's passing. It's been some years since I worked with Joe doing resets at Jewel. But Joe's not someone you would easily forget. He was a big guy with a big heart. He was well liked and respected by everyone who knew or worked with him. He was smart, hard working and easy to get along with. He will be missed by all that knew him but forgotten by none. My sincerest sympathy to all of Joe's friends and family.

Many years ago, when I started in this food business, I first heard the name "Big Joe" on a Jewel reset project. Who was this "Big Joe" I thought? I finally had the pleasure of meeting & working with Joe that day. I walked away from that set with a whole lot of respect for this man. He knew that set we were working on back & forth. He was the man everyone went to with questions. Even the reset co-ordinator from Jewel Foods sought his advice. What I remembered most was how fair Joe was with everybody. In one instance, he insisted that all the extra space we had to work with should be equally divided amongst all the companies working that reset. He even got crossed with one individual who tried to take some extra space for his particular products. You got to love a guy like that. And Joe was truly loved by all he came in contact with. I'll miss his friendly greeting at our office meetings. I'll miss his calming voice whenever he spoke. I'll miss how polite he was to everyone. I will miss him. God Bless you, Joe. Rest in Peace, my friend.

I was so disheartened to read of Jue's passing. It's been a long time since I've been in touch with him, but he will always hold a special place in my heart. He truly was a wonderful, kind and compassionate man.....God must have taken him for a reason. My deepest sympathies to the family. Bless this beautiful soul.

Joe:
I will miss our many resets that we did together and the "out of towners" that we always voluntered for. I guess that God wanted someone to be in charge of a reset in heaven. He got the BEST! Rest in Peace.
