Joe and I started working together in 1974, Br. 60, Daley Center with Elmer Kissane, former chief of appeals. Later, we worked with Public defender, Sam Amarante. We were a team working felony violations. Joe was for the next 25 yrs. at 26th and California a true professional. He was supervisor of extradition and we saw each other frequently. He was a decent man with no artificiality in his personality and always delivered straight as an arrow truth. Judge Bob Bertucci today informed me today of his passing. I am saddened very much. Joe, you will be missed.Life is a little less without you...God bless and rest in peace.

Grandpa,
We love you so much and can't believe you are gone. It's not fair that "CANCER" took you from us. We are so very sorry you never made it back home. We know how much you wanted to be at home. The only comfort we have is that your pain is gone and you are finally back home with your parents.
May GOD Bless You, As You Blessed Us
We will "FOREVER" Love and Miss you!
Rest In Peace Grandpa!!!

I met Joe when I was finishing law school and working at the Public Defender's Office at what used to be called 26th and Cal. I continued to see him from time to time out there when I practiced criminal law. He was one of the nicest, most honest, straightforward "neighborhood boys" in the best sense I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. God rest his soul, and I just want to express my sincere condolences to his widow and family.
