Joe and I started working together in 1974, Br. 60, Daley Center with Elmer Kissane, former chief of appeals. Later, we worked with Public defender, Sam Amarante. We were a team working felony violations. Joe was for the next 25 yrs. at 26th and California a true professional. He was supervisor of extradition and we saw each other frequently. He was a decent man with no artificiality in his personality and always delivered straight as an arrow truth. Judge Bob Bertucci today informed me today of his passing. I am saddened very much. Joe, you will be missed.Life is a little less without you...God bless and rest in peace.

I met Joe when I was finishing law school and working at the Public Defender's Office at what used to be called 26th and Cal. I continued to see him from time to time out there when I practiced criminal law. He was one of the nicest, most honest, straightforward "neighborhood boys" in the best sense I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. God rest his soul, and I just want to express my sincere condolences to his widow and family.
