Spurlock, brother of Faye B. Parkinson and Livinus C. Moder. Former sales manager of DTS Fluid Power Inc. Usher and Eucharistic Minister at Queen of All Saints Basilica. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton (one blk. east of Naperville Rd.) Visitation Monday, 10 a.m. until time of mass of the Resurrection 11 a.m. at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 N. Sauganash, at Devon Ave. near Cicero, Chicago. Interment Sts. Dear Matt,and Marc,
I worked for your Dad when he was salesmanager for Lucas Fluid Power in Detroit, and at DTS. Joe probably did not know this, but he was not just my boss, but my mentor, and friend. I remember a time when I, my wife, and kids went to his home in Farmington for a BBQ. My children liked him so much they started calling him Uncle Joe!
He introduced me to the beauty of some of the oldest Catholic churches in Detroit.
Your Dad touched my life that will never be forgotten.
I have so many stories that I could share with you, but please know this, he spoke to me often of his boys with great love, and I consider it a great blessing that Joe was a part of my life!

Dear Mike and Bob and Ray and all of Joe's family and friends -
Bob and I are both so sorry - what a wonderful friend Joe was to everyone - in perfectly fine fettle each and every time we saw him - he had a heart as big as his smile.
We liked Joe so much and we send everyone whose life he touched our most sincere consolences.
