Mataya, Joseph V. of Chicago, 92, passed away on July 11, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Stephanie, loving father of Robert (Patricia) of St. Charles, IL and James of Arlington, VA, dearest grandfather of Allison (Zachary) Hooper of Washington D.C., dear brother to John (Ann Marie) Mateja, Edward (Anna) Mateja, Bruno (Mary) Mateja, and the late Walter (Stella) Mateja. Funeral 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005, from Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 W. Lawrence Ave., to St. Constance Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment St. Adalbert Mausoleum. Visitation Friday, 4 to 9 p.m. Parishioner of St. Constance for over 44 years, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Usher and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL, 60601, would be greatly appreciated. Info., 773-545-3800.
