Mimi and family:
Words cannot express my thoughts and feelings on Joe's passing and the loss to you and your family. He was a great man. He was kind, understanding, smart, funny and a bit of a prankster. He was special human being.
Mimi, he loved you so. You meant the world to him. The two of you were a good example of what a marriage should be. You both were lucky to find each other.
You have such great memories to fall back on.
His friends will miss him too.
To me, he was a great friend and mentor.
My prayers are with you.

Mimi, Danny, Christine
Joe was one of the best things in my life. Always smiling, making me feel good.
He always kept me up to date and would always tell me how happy he was with Mimi, how much he loved her. Joe was a very special man, and although he is now happy and at peace, the world and all our lives will have a big whole to fill. My thoughts, prayers and love go out to his fmily and friends.

Dad, I could not have wanted a better man to be my Father. Your love was unconditional and never ending. I have sat here the last couple of days thinking of how important you were in directing me through so many decisions. With your strength and happiness I have been able to do so much with my life. You will forever be in my heart and in my thoughts. I will always miss you, but you are now with Gram and everyone else sitting around that table enjoying the best meal laughing and catching up. I promise you I will keep up the humor and the laughter, but let me shed the tears right now. Love forever Sissy Miss (Christine)

Every time I had the opportunity to see my cousin Butchie, it was always so wonderful to have conversations with him. We could have talked for hours. I loved hearing all his stories about his father, the uncle I never met. He had a wonderful sense of humor and I remember how much he loved to dance when he was younger. My deepest condolences to his wife, children and grandchildren. I am sure he will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

When we all get to the Pearly Gates we'll find Joe there at the door, charging a cover to some and probably letting most in for free. He meant more to people, and especially to me, than he ever knew.

Pops was the best father-in-law a girl could ever have. The memories of him are endless and will forever be discussed over pasta dinners and bottles of wine. HIs smile, his laugh, and his "look" will always bring a smile to my face. I will always remember a particular moment when we sat together on Gram's porch. He told me how much Danny liked me and that he knew we would marry one day. I was only 15 at the time....but he was right....and he reminded me of that as we danced together at my wedding. I love you, Pops....always and forever. Regan

Christine & Dan,

I am sorry to learn that your father has died. My father died a few years ago and my brother, sisters and I still struggle with the loss in different ways. I've found that focusing my thoughts on, and occasionally sharing stories of special specific moments, sometimes help when overall emotions are overwhelming.

You, Regan, Vincent & Franco are in my thoughts and prayers.

We can never forget this larger-than-life man filled with joy and stories and kindness who was always there to greet us with a smile. We were lucky enough to have dinner at the Maltese's and what a great feast it was--as was knowing both Joe and Mimi. We will miss you, Joe, but hold you close in our hearts always.
