Beloved aunt Regina, and cousins,
As you begin your journey know that in the grand scheme of things we live in a world where rainy days eventually give way to sunnier skies, and where simply believing in tomorrow takes you halfway up the mountain to getting beyond any difficulties.
May you have the companionship of comfort on every path you take and the gentleness of peace. May you find serenity and strength and every single thing... that will put your heart at ease.
I have fond memories of my uncle and I know he is at peace and is with his deceased family watching over us.
Thank you uncle for giving me all the cousins I have they are awesome!!!!
Love,
Mary Hernandez and family

What tributes of such a loving father. Remember all the good times you have had together and sense of family he has bestowed on all of you. You are all truly blessed to have had a father like him. Knowing how you remember him is what makes fathers proud of their children. God bless you all.

Dear Cousins and Tia Regina:
I am with you at this time to accompany in your sorrow, but mi tio Lupe is at peace and and I know that he is with my dad. As you know, I saw him come to pick him up in my dream. I saw my dad very happy, and at last they are together. Just like Marco, I remember we used to like going to your house on Kamerling, because we knew we would get to ride a bike in the school playground accross the street. Mi tio Lupe had different bikes for girls, boys, different sizes. It was fun and I remember he had a train in the basement. It is a blessing to have all of you as my cousins, and we appreciate how much love you had for my dad and have for my mom. You's are like brothers and sisters.
Take care, your cousin
Patty

Dear cousins and tia Regina,
I am writing to you from the state of Guanajuato (only a few hours distance from where our dads were born). How I wish I could be there to accompany you and all of our family in saying our farewell to my uncle. I can´t say I have an abundance of memories but I remember the day we visited your home on Kammerling and my father bought a bicycle from tio Lupe that he had rebuilt. My uncle then took me accross the street to the school parking lot and taught me how to ride it. Not a bad deal for 15 dollars...a bike and lessons! Anyhow, I´ve been thinking much about all of you, our uncle, and the entire Lopez clan. I just want to say how greatful I am that Tio Lupe had the dream of emigrating to the US and that he had the courage to follow that dream. I am greatful that he and my aunt extended a helping hand to the rest of his brothers and sisters including my mom and dad so that they too could move to the US. I am greatful that in his own simple way he taught us what it means to care for a family and to see them through. On the afternoon of July 3, we were at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and I asked her to take his hand when she thought he´d be ready and to place him under the protection of her mantle and welcome him home. I am sure she heard my prayers. Know that we are with you in spirit and with a greatful heart in saying good bye to Tio Lupe.
Peace to all of you! with lots of love,
Tony (Marco), Rita, Miguel and Alejandrina.
