Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ann and the whole Jelinek family The Jelinek family, Burich family, The Prebeg Family, The Zanella family, and others so special go back to our first years at St. Mary Nativity. What wonderful memories those were..for our kids and our many wonderful friends. There were many special events that we sat together at including Pancake Breakfasts. Jim's happy days started with his first basketball team that young Joe was a part of and you, Ann and Joe, Sr. were there to cheer him on..We could go on and on.... He was proud of his wife and family and rightfully so, He was a pillar of St. Mary Nativity Church.. For Joe, life is changed, not taken away. May he rest in peace. Love and Prayers from Mary Ann, Jim and the whole Crater family

Annette:
I am traveling for the university this week visiting alumni and am so sorry that I will not return in time for the wake and funeral for your dear father. As Trissa mentioned, for years you have shared stories about your dad with all of us, so your University of St. Francis family knows how much you are hurting and we feel his loss also. We are all praying for you and your family asking God to comfort you with His healing graces and grant you wonderful memories. I hope you will continue to share stories about your dad with us now that he has attained his heavenly reward. It is one of the many things we all love about you. I send you my sympathy and a warm hug and love from afar.

Mr. Jelinek was one of the kindest, most generous, hard-working, warm-hearted and caring persons I have ever known. What a wonderful blend of skill, intelligence, and loving humanity he possessed! He always took a very real and sincere interest in others, including me and my family -- and always made people feel special and that he cared for and about them. An example of his care and generosity for me is that he helped Tommy Vucinic and me out during college by getting us summer jobs. I know there are countless others who directly benefited from Mr. Jelinek's care, support and compassion, which he consistently shared widely, completely and unselfishly.
God has brought home one of the best he ever created!

Dear Ann:
Jeff Carlos called me yesterday to tell the sad news, I'm sure that like many others I feel so lucky to have known Joe. You know what a special man he was, but I want you to know that to this day, just the thought of Pappa Joe brings back such wonderfull feelings and memories that it is almost (no not almost, it is) therapeutic. Our thougths and prayers are with you and your family, even if we can't be there.

Dear Aunt Ann, I would like to share my favorite memory of Uncle Joe. About 30 years ago we were having a family reunion down at the river. Of course, Uncle Joe was cooking a lamb. It was very early in the morning. The river was quiet and smooth, just after sunrise. Uncle Joe and I were the only ones awake. We sat out by the lamb in front of the house. He cooked me breakfast over the hot coals and we sat and talked. I think it was the only time I ever had Uncle Joe to myself. It's my favorite and most precious memory of Papa Joe. I love both of you and will miss him. May God help you during this difficult time. Love, Susie
