Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict, beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Doyle), loving father of Joseph (Chuck Gleffe), Marie (John) Matousek, Patrice (Larry) Funk, Danny, Lori Vezinaw and Nancy (Dave) Andreides, cherished papa to Nicole (Joseph), Johnny (Kelly), Larry, Camille, Jen, Marie, Marty, Candace, Sarah and Chloe, dear brother of Art (Patricia), Sherry (Steve) Solomon and the late Bert (Josephine), fond uncle and great-uncle and cherished friend to many. Visitation Monday, February 22, 2010, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Chapel prayer 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S. Harlem Ave., Worth to Most Holy Redeemer Church, 96th and Millard, Evergreen Park (1 block South of 95th St. at Millard), Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Disabled Veterans appreciated. 708-448-6000.

My deepest sypathy to the Greco Family.
Joe and I were classmates at Raster elementry through Harper High and stock boys at National Tea grocery store after school.We with our wives celebrated our March 13 birthdays together , what fun we had each year.
Rest in peace Joe, I'll miss you and will always remember the good times.

I worked for Joe many years and I still consider him one of the kindest most generous men I ever knew. He never asked me once to do something without prefacing it with "Patsy, do me a favor will you?" I know how much his family will miss him....my thoughts and prayers go out to all.
