It was an honor to argue before Justice Gordon in the appellate court. What a joy to find a justice so interested in the law and well-versed in the case. I will miss his challenging questions.

I always picture him as a law professor at JMLS, but my real memory of him and my debt to him arose when I was under attack around 30 years ago. I cannot tell you the advice, but I can tell you that his words and concern changed my life to this day. Him memory will live with me as a Blessing.

Joe Gordon was my Evidence teacher many years ago at John Marshall. What a great professor. I can recall one special conversation. I bumped into him after taking the final and before the grades were handed out and I asked if he knew how I did--he answered that I did very, very well on the exam and I interrupted and said "So you gave me an "A" " Oh no he said, I noticed that you never showed up for the Friday night class - if you would have shown up and permitted me to get you "farblungett" and then wrote a good paper I would certainly have given you an "A" but just to read the cases and study -that was no big deal so I gave you a "B"---I then found out about his background and the special person he was. What a tremendous guy!!! Yehey Zichro Baruch! Thank you for teaching me.

Joe Gordon was a special person in my life. I delighted in his "way with words" and still find myself quoting him from time to time. Rest in peace, Joe. I will miss you.
