Uncle Joey-Today was a very hard day but you are now looking down on us all. I was very strong reading the eulogy I wrote for you. In fact I didn't cry...until i hugged your loving wife. I had to walk away for a minute. There is no words for the love she showed in caring for you until the end. There will not be a day that you will not be missed or thought of. With love, your niece Sue.

Uncle Joey we all love you so much. I will never forget the times with you. Especially at the picnics. You always made everyone laugh and not once do I remember you mad at anyone. You were full of love, laughter, respect and most of all strength. I admire who you are and the fight in you. I will never forget you, I love and miss you.

Gail, Aunt Doris, Uncle Jackie, Linda, Karen, Michele, Jackie, Timmy and Danny I am so sorry for your loss. Joey was the one who could always make everyone laugh and forget their problems, even if only for awhile. He fought so hard to stay with us and I will always admire him for that. It was always great to get a call from him when he lived in Florida; I looked forward to his visits. I enjoyed spending a lot of time with him since he moved back to Connecticut. He enjoyed life so much and enjoyed making sure everyone else had a great time. I have great memories of the family picnics when we were all young and the family picnics in the last couple of years. Joey's jokes, his smile and laugh will always be remembered. My prayers are with you all. Laura Tupper

Uncle Joey, there will not be a day that goes by that I won't think of you! You were an amazing godfather. You always listened to me and gave me advice. There are so many fond memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. When you walked in a room you always put a smile on everyone's face with the great sense of humor and the way you cared about everyone. Wherever you are I know that they are lucky to be with you and I know that no matter what you will always be right there. You are now are angel looking over us!! I will always love you!!! xoxo

My dear uncle Joey,

The fun loving sense of humor entertaining uncle of all time, You were always the uncle that enjoyed being around us as kids playing with us, holding us, making us laugh just about anything you were the go to uncle when anyone needed a good time. I know you have had a difficult few years and you have stuck it out as long as you could nothing but a fighter in my eyes, one strong individual I could ever know. These years have been hard for you but you showed everyone the funny loving side of you all the way. I have never let a day go by that I havent thought of you and aunt Gail even though I am not home you are on my mind everyday. As the time comes when your fighting is harder and harder each day I know I will remember everyday I had with you. The family picnics the holidays the last pig roast you and Aunt Gail where at when Sue Kristy and I sang to you the I love you song from barney I can remember that like yesterday I was just maybe 7 years old when you moved away, but I can say I enjoyed every visit since the bad and the good it didnt matter to me because alls I saw was my sweet loving funny Uncle that I will never forget, I will Love you just as I did from the first day of my life until the last day you are and always be my uncle joey no matter what I will hold those sweet memories in my heart with you for the rest of my life.

I will remember Joey with a smile- all those times he made me laugh in life- pretending to be a janitor at my parents 25th wedding anniversary and also dressing up as a woman at a bridal shower and our grandmother never knowing that the "mysterious" woman attending was her grandson. We laughed so hard!! His wit and humor and ability to make anyone laugh was a true gift and talent. To my cousins and Uncle Jackie and Aunt Doris, I am sorry for your loss, and Gail, I thank you for your love and courage in caring for him. May he rest in peace.
