Jose Luis Nieves, age 62, longtime resident of Elmhurst, member of Order of Freemasons; beloved husband of Sheila, nee Esposito; loving father of Amethyst and Antonio Nieves and Godfather of Francesca Ahern; dear brother of Aracely (Alex) Muñiz, Agustin T. (Lilia) Melgar, Patricia (Paul) Tackett, Carlos (Olga) Trujillo, Judith ( Charles) Rosine and Anna L. (Edward Hoffman) Nieves; cherished son of Jose V and the late Luz Nieves and son-in-law of Alyce Vainisi-Cardenas; uncle of many. Visitation Monday, May 16, 2022, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
