Jonathon Jaroszewski Obituary

Jaroszewski, Jonathon Victor

Jonathon Victor Jaroszewski was born on March 25, 1956 and died at home on January 7, 2021 in Justice, IL. Jon Jaroszewski's purpose in life was to love Jesus and his family. To that end, he was a singer/songwriter, a musician, a writer, a published author, a self-taught theologian, and a family man. To read some of his thoughts and hear his original music go to: http://jesusians.org/jons-original-music/ Jon's greatest enjoyment for the past few years has been spending time with his grandson, Logan and his wife, Linda. He also loved to make people laugh and was a great joke teller. Jon meditated on and studied the Bible extensively. Here are few of Jon's written thoughts on heaven:

"Someday our choices will conform perfectly to his will, and that will be heaven. That is the goal we work toward, God and us both, and that is why our choices are not unimportant."

"Jesus also claimed the Father is a father to us. Our Father who art in heaven. Not our God, who is in heaven or even our king – thy kingdom come. Of all the descriptors Jesus could have used, he most often chose Father to describe God's role. If God is our father, we are his children."

"In the following passage from Isaiah, the most famous example, God isn't speaking primarily of his omniscience or omnipotence, or his justice or his judgments, he is extolling his love and mercy. And true to his claim, we haven't generally seen the subject at hand. We quote the verse as exactly the opposite, an example of his omniscience.

Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon."For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" declares the LORD." As the heavens are higher than the earth,so are my ways higher than your waysand my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,

and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,so is my word that goes out from my mouth:It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace;the mountains and hills will burst into song before you,and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD's renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever." (Isa 55:7-13).

He asks us to turn to him to receive his mercy. He claims to be God who freely pardons. Those are the examples of his thoughts and his ways." Jon has written three books. The first, The Trouble With Christians, was published by Wipf and Stock and is available online. The second two, The Joy of Jesus and Through His Eyes, are being edited for publication. Jon is survived by his wife Linda, his grandson Logan, his mother Mary, and his brother Dave and his wife Patty. He was preceded in death by his son, William Jaroszewski, his brothers Jim and Tom, his father William, and recently by his sister Sandra Lynn. He leaves behind loving in-laws, fond friends, band mates, church family and good neighbors. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights, IL. A service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. Jon will be buried in the Jaroszewski family cemetery in Missouri.
