To my cousin Wayne and his wife Nancy nad daughter Jamie; and to my other cousins: Karen, Mike and Wendy,

I wanted you all to know that the loss of your son, brother and nephew, Jonathan, brings great saddness to my heart. I wish that I could have known him as I am sure he brought as much happiness and joy into your lives as my son, and only child, does to mine. You have suffered a tremendous loss by losing Jonathan and your mother, my Aunt Elaine. I wish that we could have known each other better over the years. I have thought of all of you often, wishing we could have been a part of each others lives. Jonathan was obviously loved by many and has touched many lives. Even mine. I am so very sorry. My deepest heartfelt condolences to all of you. I hope that in the days, weeks and months ahead you will find comfort in the joy that Jonathan has brought into your lives as well as the lives of others, as is evident by this Guest Book.

Take care of yourselves and God Bless.

Dear Jon~

There is a thousand questions racing through my head right now. You were too good of a person for this to happen to. You impacted so many people's lives its not even funny. All I know is that I wish I could call you up and still have conversations with you, still see your face, still have your smile brighten my heart... but it's too late. I miss you so much Jon, I just wish that you knew that so many of your friends would've done anything to help you with whatever pain you were going through! You were raised and brought up by two wonderful parents who thought the world of you. Atleast through your time spent here on earth you got to experience what love really was. Some people live their lives and never fall in love, you lived part of yours and did... you should feel fortunite. Gosh Jon, just knowing that I will never see you by my locker before or after 7th period just breaks my heart! Im going to keep a part of you with me Jon, and everywhere I am you'll be there with me! I hope that your in a better place, and happy! I pray for you and your poor mother and father, also Jamie every night! You were an inspiration to all of us, and you will remain one forever!! I love you Jon, R.I.P.

I will never forget about the joy that you brought into my life!

Dear Diericks family,

I can't tell you how deeply sorry i am that Jon is gone. But you know that we are all affected by his loss. He was a friend to all, and showed no favorites in that department, but Jon was one swell fellow. He will allways be in our hearts and smileing down on us from heaven. He will always watch over you, and all of his friends to see that we are all doing good and what we should do.

To the Diericks family... I'm so sorry for your loss. I know this is a difficult time for your family. My 2 high school children knew Jon, and they said he was a fun and exciting child to be around. I heard he was a great ball player and a smart kid. Our family gives you our condolences.

To The Diericks Family,

Though we did not know Jon very well we would like to extend our deepest and most sincere condolences

to your family. We enjoyed watching Jon play baseball for Sandburg and see him grow and improve with the team, he was a very polite and nice young man. He will be missed by many who's life he touched. Mike has taken the news very badly and will miss him dearly, he was a great teammate, he will always remember #22. Take care and God Bless your Family.

I DIDN'T KNOW YOUR SON AND I DON'T KNOW YOUR FAMILY. I DO KNOW THAT LOSING A FAMILY MEMBER IS THE HARDEST THING IN THE WORLD TO DO. AS HUMAN BEING WE ARE NOT EQUIPT TO BURY OUR FAMILY EXSPECIALLY OUR CHILDREN. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND FAMILY THROUGH THIS TOUGH TIME.

To the Diericks Family:

Our son, Tom, was in class with Jon for 3rd hour A.P. Environmental Science with Mr. Holt at Sandburg High School. Tom knew Jon, and thought a great deal of him. Tom told us Jon was a very bright, and a nice young man. They respected one another as bright students. They had even bowled together on weekend evenings. We know Tom will miss Jon. We send you and your family our deepest and most sincere condolences in this most difficult time. We will keep your family, and Jon, in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

The Lusk Family

Hey Jon,

I have to say that you are most likely one of the greatest guys I have ever had the chance to get to know. I have seen you grow from young baseball all-star with my brother to a well-rounded young man. I appreciate everything you did for myself and my family. I am glad that you were my eyes and ears for Matt when I wasn't there and I am happy to know you still will be. You will be greatly missed Jon and I wish you and you family the best of luck. May god bless you and everyone that still holds a piece of you in their heart.
