Dear Crocilla Family,
I was very saddened and shocked when my Aunt Rita (maiden Rita Lorenzo)called to tell me that she had seen Jon's obit in the paper. Thinking of Jon brought back wonderful early childhood memories spent with him. My maiden name is Linda Paulsen and my grandmother and grandfather were Tony and Mary Lorenzo who lived next door on Oak Park Ave in Chicago. My mother was Virginia Paulsen (Lorenzo)and my auntis Rita Backe(Lorenzo)who also lived on Oak Park Ave with them. I spent 90% of my life from age 1 to 14 at my grandparent's house on Oak Park Ave along with my younger brother Larry. I have so many childhood memories of your family and Jon especially since we were only 2 years apart in age. As my mother and father are both deceased now, please accept our condolences and prayers for your family. Love Linda Dumke (Paulsen) and Larry Paulsen

Dear Crocilla Family,
I was so sadden to see the obit about Jon. I new Jon when he was a young boy and lived next door. I don't know who will receive or read this message. If it is Russell or Jimmy and of course Helen when they lived on Oak Park Ave. my family (Tony & Mary Lorenzo) lived next door. My name is Rita (Lorenzo)Backe. I live in Indiana now. We still get the Illinois papers and when I saw the notice of Jon's passing I couldn't believe it. I am so very sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss of someone so young and loved. My prayers are with his wife and children and the Crocilla family. Love, Rita

In the ten-plus years that I had occasion to work with Jon on several projects I never once saw him angry or anything but fun-loving and congenial. I never heard him speak ill of anyone else. He was a man whose attitude toward life and others we all would do well to emulate. My heart goes out to his family and especially his sons. A loss such as this at this tme of the year is doubly traumatizing.
