I will truly miss the friendship, laughter of comedic times in our lives, the serious conversations about ministry and always our times of prayer. He was my friend and it is hard to say "fare well" but if he were given opportunity to be with God resting from his labors or here on earth, I know he would chose to be with the LORD.

I had the privilege of meeting Pastor York through my former Pastor, Dr. Ramona Joseph. Pastor York and I both received our honorary doctorate degrees together from St. Michael's Insitute where Dr. Joseph was one of the professors.
Dr. Joseph initially introduced me to Pastor York after I had a really bad experience with a contractor. Basically, he left my bathroom in shambles and ran off with the money.
Pastor York had his contractors come in and re-gut the bathroom and the end result was simply beautiful.
While it is difficult for many to deal with the loss of Pastor York, it is such a comfort knowing that he is present with the Lord. It is further comforting to know that he is filled with joy, unspeakable joy, right now!
Truly, he has been a blessing to many of us through his mild manner, his kindness, and his support. He shall always be remembered as one of the most kind individuals to ever walk the earth.
I'm so very glad that I knew him.

To Mrs. LaTrese M. Hinton: You and the entire family have my prayers and condolence. I am holding you close in my heart and reassuring you that, "Earth has no sorrow which Heaven cannot heal." Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning. Look to the hills from which cometh your help; all your help comes from the Lord.

Rev. John York has been our landlord for the past fifteen (15) years, a friend of the family, an upright man of God and a pillar in the community! He was definitely one of the good ones and will be missed immensely, but, his memories will be forever cherished.
