I met John and Velma at Trinity United Church of Christ and we would gather frequently for breakfast and great fellowship. It's been 7 years and seems like yesterday. Continue to rest in God's loving arms.

Ginger, Kelly and Mrs. Wilson,
My Prayers and thoughts continue to go out to you. Although I could not personally be there I think about you all in this difficult time. Cherished memories will forever be a comfort for many years to come. Continue to be the strong women you all are and God and prayer will be additional strengths for you to lean on in addition to family and friends.

VELMA, GINGER AND KELLY:
I WISH TO EXPRESS MY PROFOUND SORROW AND SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON YOUR LOSS. JOHN TOUCHED MANY LIVES WITH HIS CONCERN AND CARING FOR OTHERS. I KNOW HE WAS A GOOD FATHER AND HUSBAND BECAUSE HE WAS A GOOD MAN AND SPECIAL PERSON. I UNFORTUNATELY COULD NOT ATTEND THE SERVICES DUE TO HEALTH CONDITIONS. JOHN WILL REMAIN IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

To John's Family --
Beverly and I send God's Blessings from Los Angeles. We wish we could join you today -- but cannot. John and I were blessed to have grown-up as kids under the guidance of the Phillips High School Principal Maudelle Bousfield.. John became a Role Model for us -- and for all the young people he touched. John and I followed each other's careers with John as a pioneer at Northwestern University and into accounting and finance -- and as I did entering the military. We stayed in touch -- and we were fortunate to chat during last month's Phillips Alumni Dinner before returning to Los Angeles. To Velma, Ginger and Kelly -- please stay strong as John would want you to do. God's Blessing to each and every one of you. We have all been blessed to have travelled with John. (From Perry Gregg and Family)
