Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Grencik), loving dad of John (Donna), Jacqueline (Billy) McCutcheon and David (Laurie). Big hearted grandpa of Jennifer, Robert, Michael (fiance Margaret), the late Rebecca, Daniel, Sarah, Jessica, Nicole, Jimmy and Johnny, dear papa of Tyler, fond brother-in-law and uncle of many. Resting at the Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 S. Kedzie, Evergreen Park, IL, Monday, August 1, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, August 2, 9:15 a.m., from Chapel to St. Bernadette Church for Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Our prayers are with you and your family. We are finishing up our Europe vacation and received the sad news from Billy in Iraq. We were just talking about Uncle John on a train in Poland and how he wished he was with us traveling. We were visiting Bokina relatives about 2 hours from Warsaw.

I remember John as being a very friendly neighbor. He always had happy words to my husband Johnny and my 5 year old son. Whenever my son saw John he could not wait to talk to him. We will miss his smile and friendly wave. God Bless the Family.

I've always accepted he must have been a pretty darn good parent to have produced a son like you.
