Hey Dad,

Just wanted to let you know you are so very loved and missed. Christmas was wonderful, in that all your children/grandchildren were together with MOM. Sad though, cause you weren't there in person., but we had a SANTA who was so kind, gentle, and humble as you were. He wasn't human, but was adorned in your honor. God, we all miss you DAD, and thank you for letting us all be together, DIVINE INTERVENTION, on your part. MISS YOU SO MUCH. Mernie

Whenever I visited my grandparents in Chicago (Helen & Phil Wagner) or attended a family party, I was treated to a visit with Uncle John and Aunt Rita. How could you forget Uncle Johnny? My thoughts are with you, Aunt Rita, and the rest of your family.

Peg and family,

I just wanted to say how sorry I was to learn of your Dad's passing. It is always hard to lose someone so close to you, but I am confident that he is smiling down on all of you.

In the tender compassion of our God, the dawn from on high shall break upon us, to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet on the road of peace. Luke 1:78-79.

To the Wallis Family:

Our depest sympathy on the death of John. We always enjoyed the times we were in his company. John will be missed by the many who knew him. John and the Wallis family will be in our prayers. Another John explained part of the journey to heaven in these words: Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God and Me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. I am indeed going to prepare a place for you and then I shall come back to take you with Me. John 14: 1-4

Sincerely,

Andy & Roseann

Dear Aunt Rita, John,Kevin,Marion, Pattyand Peggy,

Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families. Perhaps the only thing better than having John Wallis for an Uncle would be to have him as husband, Father, Grandfather or friend. How blessed we all are to share such genuine memories of a Giant of a simple man. I recall reading that you should treat people as though they had an invisible sign on their forehead "show me that I am special". My Uncle John always made time to treat everyone as though they were very, very special indeed. Add a sense of humor, love of life and family ,strong faith in God and service, and a lot of humility and you have my favorite Uncle, John Wallis. Thanks for the example and the standard that we are called to live up to.

May the Angels welcome Him to Paradise, Dave Mason Family

My wife, Gloria, and I have the pleasure of meeting John on several occassions. We are neighbors of Marion & John Lynch. On those occassions I've been honored to have met very special man and individual.

I have the upmost respect for the quality of his person and the family he raised.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family, friends, and everyone who was touched by Uncle John's twinkle in his eyes, beautiful smile, and gentle heart. They live on in our memories, and remind us that love is all around us and lives on forever. I know we will hear the laughter of Phil and John enjoying the "good ole days"... and our memories are richer because of Uncle John. He will live in our hearts, and minds, and souls, and in every Irish song that is sung. May our hearts be lighter because of the memory of Uncle John.
