John R "J.R." Vines, 76, of Willis, Texas, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the M.E. Girard Lodge 450 of A.F. & A.M., passed away in Conroe, Texas, on Tuesday, January 2, 2001. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 3, 2001, 3-9 p.m., at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 4, 3 p.m., at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Charles Smith. Interment will follow at Garden Park Cemetery.
