John Trout Obituary

John T. Trout, age 66, of Little Rock, died September 5, 2002. He was born August 20, 1936 in Sheridan, Arkansas. He was retired from Meyer Brothers/Foxmeyer Drug Company where he was employed for over forty years. Mr. Trout was of the Baptist faith. In his early years, he enjoyed bowling and one of his hobbies was reading, especially the history of World War II.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Trout Weck; his father, Dewell Trout; and his step-father, George Weck. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Montean; his sister-in-law, Marlene Granberg; brother-in-law, Sam Granberg; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his mother-in-law, Eula Nolan.

A gathering in remembrance of Mr. Trout will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2002 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Custom Funerals & Cremations, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock, 661-9111, with Brother Sam Granberg officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2002 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 212 National Resources Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205, or the Arkansas Kidney Foundation, #1 Lile Court, Ste. 201, Little Rock, AR 72205. Sorry to hear of Johnny's death. I worked with him at Meyer Bros. Drug in the early 1950's(My dad, Charlie also worked there). We also bowled together for Peck's Drive In. We were known as the "Bopsee Twins". Please accept my condolences.
