Tomecek, John Francis age 88, beloved husband of Jennie (nee Horvat), loving father of Joan Tomecek, Janet (Kenneth) Murray and Robert (Ann) Tomecek, proud grandfather of Ann Murray, Samuel Murray, Sarah Tomecek, Robert Tomecek, Ryan Tomecek and Nicholas Tomecek, dear brother of the late Lillian Hammagren, Frank, Laddie, Joseph and Louie. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester, IL (two blocks West of Mannheim Rd.), on Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, at 9:30 a.m., from funeral home, to Divine Providence Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection. Memorial would be appreciated to St. Thomas Hospice, 8230 S. Madison St., Burr Ridge, 60521. For further information call: 708-F-U-N-E-R-A-L.

Dear Uncle John,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart not only for being a wonderful uncle, but for also watching over me as my Godfather. You will be missed very much, but I know at this moment you are happily reunited with Grandma, Grandpa your brothers and Auntie Lil. What's that I smell? Could it be roast pork, sauerkraut and dumplings?
