John Jr.: We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. May the thoughts of many friends & relatives that truely care about you at this time of sorrow bring you abit of comfort knowing that he's moved on to a better place.

Spag will be missed deeply by all the c-1-28 Marines. The togetherness they had during Iwo Jima will never be replaced. Dad is rejoicing with John today and telling stories as they did all the years they had known each other as "brothers". I know this will leave an empty place in your hearts but fill it with all the good times and cherish each memory.
