Navickas, John J. age 84, US Army Veteran of WWII, longtime resident of the Back of the Yards Community. at Rest February 3, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Bernice, cherished father of Carol (David) Wajda, Joanne Wysocki, Patricia (Robert) Burgert, proud grandfather of Scott, Barbara Gallegos, the late Susan, the late Michael, Jennifer Pozeg, Kristen, Andrew and Katharine, great grandfather of James, Armando, Amanda, Amon, Alexis and Michael, dear brother of the late Anne, and the late Antionette and Louise (Karl) Kountz, also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. Retired employee of Sears for over 35 years. Member of the Holy Cross Parish Holy Name Society, Committee Man, usher and choir member. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m. Gaidas-Daimid Funeral Directors, 4330 S. California Ave. Funeral services Monday, 9:15 a.m. to Holy Cross Church, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery. Info., Gerald F.
