Maureen, I remember John's goal was to see that we had the most possible fun during our teenage years and I suspect that never changed. I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the McGlynn family,

Words can not express how deeply shocked and saddened I was to hear of John's passing. I had the pleasure of seeing him this past Monday afternoon and shared laughter and conversation. Among other things he shared with me how proud he was of his children and how he never played the lottery unless the jackpot was huge. The latter he shared after giving one of the guys $2.00 to puchase a lottery ticket for him to the upcoming "big game" drawing. I never imagined that would be the last time I would see him or hear his infectious laugh. Be comforted by knowing that he touched many lives in a positive way and I am sure "the afternoon crowd" in Blue Island will forever remember him and share fond memories of John at every given opportunity. May he rest in peace.
