To the family of Fr.Mackin,
On behalf of my family (The Guss Family) from St. Justin Martyr we would like to send our sincere condolences. Fr. Mackin was so fondly a part of St. Justin's when he got transferred the Parish lost a Great Man. Our family consisted of 8 children & we all felt a special love of Father. I was married by him in 1968. Many years later when our Father died , in 1983, we contacted Fr. Mackin & he so kindly traveled to say my Dad's funeral Mass. He always was there for everyone. God has a special place for him in heaven....but he will always be in our hearts.

On behalf of the family of Helen Burke Hinton, we offer our condolences to the Mackin family on the passing of Father John. Our mother was a life long friend of Mary Mackin and Father John was a big part of our mother's life. He also con-celebrated at our mother's funeral mass at Christ the King Church in Beverly. He will be missed by many.
