John W. Lovely, Age 81, of Oak Lawn, IL, U.S. Navy Veteran, Born into Eternal Life on February 15, 2021. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Masse) for 53 years. Loving father of Christine Lovely (Alan Barr), and Catherine (David) Temple. Dear brother of Charles (Jenny), Harry (Rita), the late Janet, Peter Lovely, the late David, and Nora Lovely. Fond uncle of Anne Marie (Mike) Kelly, Debra (Joe) Devlin, Greg (Melanie) (the late Jennifer) Hardiek, John (Denise) Masse, Dawn (Michael) Brooks, Michelle (Joe) Larucci, Alison (Roberto) Cianci, Harry (Doris) Lovely, Charles Lovely, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. John had a larger-than-life personality and enjoyed sharing stories, laughs, and engaging in the lively art of conversation with his many family members and friends. He is most fondly remembered for his love of cigars, as an avid fisherman, reader, and history buff as well as his love of travel. Visitation Friday February 19, 2021, 9:00am-11:00am at Curley Funeral Home (Heeney-Laughlin Directors), 6116 W. 111 th St., Chicago Ridge, IL 60415. Deepest condolences regarding Mr. Lovely's passing. What a wonderful couple he and Carol were. I had the privilege of providing medical care to them and Carol's gentle mother. May he find joy with Christ and may those who loved him find peace
