Kordik, John G. 78, beloved husband of Helene S. (nee Biernat) for 52 years, loving father of John David Kordik, Jill E. (David) Larson, Judy K. (Richard) Deck and Angela M. Kordik, fond grandfather of Christopher and Kyle Larson and Michael, Timothy and Jonathan Deck, dear brother of the late Frank Kordik, Elsie Kirsch, Rudy Kordik and Marie Stich, fond uncle of many. Funeral Friday, 10 a.m., from Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence, Norridge, IL, St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Mass 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 4709 Golf Rd., #1015, Skokie, IL, 60076, would be appreciated. I was saddened to hear about Mr. Kordik's illness, and subsequent passing. He was a good neighbor, and I believe we all felt a little safer knowing he was watching out for our safety.
