I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I just found out about it today and am very sorry about not being able to attend the services. John, singing at my wedding 18 years ago, will always be a very fond memory. My deepest sympathies.

Dear Rosemary,

We were out of town when we heard of John's death and did not return until after the funeral services.

John played a big part in our marriage ceremony last April and again at our Grand Beach reception in June. We knew he was quite ill at both events but what a trooper he was to be there for us! We last saw him at the nursing home in September and even then he never lost his great sense of humor.

We will miss him and remember him and you in our prayers.

Love,

Nancy and Bob

John,

Today was my last day of a five day visit with my folks. I want you to know that before I left, I had read about your dad in the paper. As I write this, although I am back home in Denver, please know that I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and your family from my family - and from mom and dad, too.

I am Nancy Hayden's daughter and Jack and Pat Hayden's granddaughter. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad and father. He truly left a lasting impression on me. I remember his gregarious laugh and booming voice when he entered a room. He was truly like a giant leperchaun. He played numerous times at my grandma's parties. His love of life and beautiful voice will be missed.

I only knew John for one day in 2002 when he and his band performed at my Oktoberfest party. However, his love of music the special place that he had in his heart for entertaining children were very evident.

Our thoughts are with you, John, Paula, and all of the Kenny family. We will never forgot those apol invocations, and the privilege I had to perform with both Johns for the Loyola Presidents Ball. John was a joy and he brought joy to our lives. Thank you and God bless you, John.

Probably my Dad and Mom's (may they rest in peace) best friend, particularly during the St. Bernadette choir days. There was never any mistaking that beautiful voice! Thank you, Mr. Kenny, for the joy, friendship, and happiness you brought to our family while I was growing up. God's angels will enjoy listening to you and my Dad harmonizing together once again.

Rosemary:

Bob Kunkler called to inform me about your John's passing. We are so sorry and please accept our sympathies. We missed both of you at the recent 60th reunion, and hope that you could see the beautiful church now. I just said goodbye to my sister Eileen, who was just 78. As a trappist monk said recently, "the best day of your life will be the last day; at least it will be interesting". My sister had two husbands that preceeded her in death, and I wonder if she is happy to be reunited with them. Only God knows that scenario. God Bless. We will remember John in our daily Mass.

John touched the hearts of many through his God given musical talent and voice. Few people can go through life and have such a positive effect on the spirt of others. John was given a gift and he shared it with us. For this sharing we are forever thankful and reminded to examine our own lives for we all have some gift to share.
