Johnson, John Age 70, a resident of Plainfield, IL and longtime of Brighton Park, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2016 at his home. He was born on March 18, 1946 in Chicago, IL. Beloved husband of 50 years of Susan Rose (nee Hughes) Johnson; loving father of John Thomas (Nikki), Joseph Anthony (Sheryl), Michael Patrick and the late Thomas John Hughes Johnson; adoring grandfather of Thomas and Kelly Johnson, Maura, Cara, John and Anthony Johnson; devoted son of the late Martin and Mary Johnson; cherished brother of the late Marty (the late Jane), the late Anthony (the late Sandy), the late Carmella (the late John) Winter, the late Mary (Tony) Cozzi and the late Nancy Johnson; dearest brother-in-law of Frank (the late Clara) Hughes, Thom (Debbie) Hughes, and Dan (Sharon) Hughes; fond uncle of many. Graduate of Harper High School. Proud 31 year patrolman of the Chicago Police Department.
