Today is the 3rd Anniversary of you finding peace, it is time to say, "Goodbye for now", I am having this printed for Mom. There have been a lot of changes since my last entry, Terri and I got married in January on the 7th, a week before your birthday, and just this week, you have had some friends join you. "Unks" passed on September 7th, your baby, "Julie" passed on September 11th, and, "Pepppy" passed on September 13th. So, with any luck, you are sharing a beer with, "Unks", "Julie" is on your shoulder, and, "Peppy" is curled up on your lap.
I miss you every single day of my life, so does Mom, so does Terri,Matt Michelle, Robin, and countless other people that you were a big part of their hearts.
Thank you for my life, and making me what I am today.
I will love you, and miss you, until the day that I join you.
Proud to be your Son,
PJ

My Father, My Friend,
It is 2 years now, and I still cannot believe that you are gone. I do not want to believe it. I live in your house now, the house that you built, I am here to take care of Mom, your wife, my Mother, just like you asked me to do. It is very hard for me, everywhere I look here reminds me of you, from the birds to the basement.
Mom misses you more than you could have ever imagined, so do I.
My life will never be the same without you, but it will always be better because of you. I am very proud to call myself your Son.
I love you Pops, and I miss you.
Always in my heart,
PJ

John is still in our hearts and memories and will always be. I always considered him an uncle even though he was technically my "step uncle". He will always be in our thoughts and memories.

I wish that I would have had more time to get to know and love him the way that Fern and Paul do. The stories I have listened to and the love that I see in their eyes makes me realize that I missed out on so much!

I will always see the smile in his eyes when I look at the Mickey Mouse treasures that he gave to me. He told me "Anyone that loves Mickey Mouse can't be all that bad even if they are a hillbilly!" That was what got me in!!

We didn't have much time together but the time we had I will always cherish in my heart and I am grateful to know that I have one more Angel in heaven looking over me!!

My freshman year of college I broke my ankle and was on crutches for 2 weeks. I went to school downtown at the time, so getting around was difficult.

Grandpa offered to pick me up and take me to and from school and home for those 2 weeks. In the car we talked about all sorts of things- school, baseball, and especially Chicago history. He told me a lot about what things were like when he was my age.

While I was in class he would just park somewhere and sit and read. My classes were 3 hours long but he didn't mind.

My ankle may have been broken and I might have looked ridiculous on crutches wearing that stupid boot, but those 2 weeks were some of the best times I ever had with him.

I will never, ever forget the only grandpa I ever knew. He spent so much of his life helping people in many ways, and I can only hope that I can be that selfless as I live my life. And, of course, one of these days I'll learn how to drive, because I know he'd love that.

my grandpa. almost a year now. and i dont think i can ever get over how much i miss him. i know he has passed, but i know he is still here. with all of us. in a way watching over us. like a angel above, he will always be there. the memory's i have, and every one who knew of him. they will remember the good times. weither it be how much of a humble and loving man he was, or the times shared on past holidays, or just watching a game while drinking an old style. these memorys i hold true to my heart. He ment a lot to me and i love him.
i know he's up there, in the big party in the sky. watching over all of us. and he will live in our hearts forever.
.....i love you grandpa....and i miss you....-matt-
