Mrs. Hosty, Jeanne, John, Ted, Mark and families:

We are saddened to hear of Mr. Hosty's passing but a smile quickly follows as I remember that Mr. Hosty always had a ready joke and kernel of wisdom.

Particularly memorable is his toast at Ned's rehearsal dinner after Ned received some free dental work from his new father-in-law. Mr. H's punch line - "Thank god he wasn't a proctologist!" :) I also will never forget your family's support through the years.

Regards -

Marilyn and Family,

Jack was my friend and mentor going back to when I was a young broker at Lamson Bros. We continued through the CBOE. Remember the green bagels? Jack was very reverent about his family, his religion, his business, and the Corp. He was truly instrumental to my life and contributed many fond memories My sincere condolences to your family, John Voris

Dear Marilyn--I'm the Marilyn from Guerin whom you met last winter at Rush, while my father in law was in the hospital , too. We are sorry to hear of your husband's death after such a long and arduous illness. May he rest in peace--and perhaps the two of our dear ones are swapping Marine tales in heaven right now. Sincerely, the Hejnosz family

I'll never forget the stories. As a great writer once said. A man who is not loved will not be missed and Jack you will be missed.

After I became friends with Ted, I met "Mr. Hosty", father of my friend. It soon became clear that "Mr. Hosty" was more than Ted's father. He became Jack;friend,White Sox fan, Marine officer, fashion consultant, Alumnus of Fenwick,Marquette, and Northwestern, Two Strikes, Pig roast carver, Sunday afeternoon football companion, and a memorable Santa Claus. He will be missed but never forgotten. A true one of a kind. Semper fideles.
