Holubec, John A. Suddenly age 59. Loving father of John "J.P." Holubec; dear brother of Mary Ann (William) Vitek, the late Marlene (Ray) Gass and the late James Holubec; cherished uncle of Brian (Deanna) Gass, Bill (Larissa), Tim (Sarah) and Dan Vitek; great-uncle of Jacob, Corrine, Alexis, Mali, Nigel and Zane. Proud owner of Hockey John's Apparel, John enjoyed hockey, playing the guitar and a good Guiness with his friends. Visitation Tuesday 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Chapel Service 10:00 a.m. at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S. Harlem Ave., Worth, IL. Interment Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. John was so kind. You could see it in his eyes! That was his gift that so many people felt. Everywhere he went he connected with
people, again a gift. My he be peaceful forever.

I learned today that an old friend, Johnny H., had passed away. I played defense for John for several years in Bridgeview. We enjoyed many good times together. He was a terrific guy and will be missed. May he rest in peace.

We are very sorry for your loss. We just heard this and missed his services. John was a great guy!!
I enjoyed skating with him on many occasions but really enjoyed hanging out after hockey. He will definitely be missed.
