Gunia Jr., John J. "Donzy" Korean War Navy Veteran, beloved husband of Nancy (nee Tewell), loving father of Lori (the late Robert) Rupinski, Lonny Bodie, John J. (Mary) Gunia III, Bobbi (Ted) Krol, Charlene (Pedro) Flores, Linda (Richard) Whitman, Cindi (Sandy) Bodie, Dawne Truse, Dennis Gunia, and Brian Bodie, devoted grandfather of 23, great-grandfather of 12, dear brother of Charlotte (Gene) Kulaga, preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation Sunday, 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., at Wollschlager Funeral Home, 3604 S. Hoyne. Funeral Monday, 11:15 a.m. to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, for 12:00 noon Mass. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Please omit flowers. 773-523-0196.

I never thought that this day would come, I guess that I expected you to live forever. I will miss you so very much and I will remember everything that you taught me. When I am sad I will think back on all the memories that I have of you. You will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.
