Father Frawley first touched my life at St. Albert the Great Parish. His saintly presentation of Holy Mass inspired me to follow him to STM for daily noon Mass for a couple years while I was visiting Chicago working for the railroad. He asked me to hold the Chalice occasionally, which I found to be a heavenly experience. Missed him and daily Mass much at STM when work took me to KC until my retirement. I was saddened when I googled his name only to find his obituary. No doubt he truly touched hundreds, no thousands of parishioners over the years of his faithful service. And he truly touched this out of state visitor although briefly too. I always felt the presence of God whenever I was fortunate enough to find him once again at God´s holy altar while he celebrated Mass at STM. What a saint he is!

Thinking of Fr Frawley today. He was such a wonderful man a truly humble servant of Christ. I know you are in heaven and are sharing that wonderful spirit with those who are there with you. Thank the Lord that we were blessed to have you in our lives. I believe that you are truly a saint!
Truly the man of God. I remember when your friend Dominic passed away many years ago and your sadness. We went to the gravesite and you were there praying over him. It was a cloudy overcast day and you started your prayers then all of a sudden the clouds parted and the sun shone down on the casket with a stream of sunlight, only in that spot and I believe we witnessed that beautiful moment of your prayers lifting Dominic to heaven. It was the most spectacular moment I had ever seen. Dear Fr Frawley pray for us!

Can´t believe it has been eight years since Fr. Frawley´s passing. Think of him often, Fr. Frawley was a true servant of God and gave everything of himself. We were so lucky he came to St. Thomas More with his true faith, sparkling blue eyes and Irish wit. Hopefully Father Frawley you are looking down on St . Thomas More Church fondly and helping guide it. We miss you!

This man an old family friend & spiritual guidance all my living days. I was fortunate enough to have been married to my husband by this holy saint. I honestly never doubted I was in the presence of God when he was near. So much incredible advice, healing & care when in times of sorrow. He embodied all the Christ demanded of his soldiers & yes, I can unequivocally state I always knew he was so innately holy, he was a living saint on earth! How can I be so lucky to have met a saint?!! Now finally where he belongs, in God's arms. Thank you for such a humbling gift of both unfailing faith, undying hope & love.

I remember walking to St. John the Baptist Church as a child with my late grandmother. During my late mother's illness, Father was always there for her and the rest of our family. I have no doubt that Father was a Saint on earth, and is now in the presence of God.

I feel so bad that we have just learned of Father Frawley's death. Our son Kenneth was one of the first babies he baptized at St. John's in 1966. When Kenneth died in 1996 we lived in Florida. When we got to the church in Oak Park there was Father. He had been on vacation and came home to say the mass for our son.
Father was a saint on earth. I wish I could say thanks again Father for everything.

Our condolences to the family and friends of Father Frawley and the parish community of St. Thomas More. We got to know him well when he helped out with weekend masses at St. Albert the Great in Burbank. He was one of the finest priests I have been privilged to know.

May he rest in Gods peace!

It was an honor to have played the organ for him at St. John the Baptist. I had the honor also of playing for the closing mass of the church on Christmas Eve. You could feel the love everyone had for Father Frawley. May he be given a special place with the saints in angels in Heaven.

Father Frawley was a great priest who truly loved the people he served, truly loved his brother priests, and truly loved and treasured the gift of his priesthood. I give thanks to God for his example and his inspiration. May the angels lead him into paradise!

Father Frawley was a wonderful, wonderful priest who dedicated his life to service, especially to the most vulnerable he visited my Mom almost every week for almost 8 years.
He always tried to be at every wake, funeral, wedding or baptism. There were times when I thought the Lord gave him the gift of bi-location. He was an example to every priest in the diocese in his selflessness and caring.
I truly believe, that forever time we knew him, we were in the company of a saint

I remember how in the fourth grade at St. John's he would step on my toes and say your such a cute boy. You will be truly missed Father Frawley. Rest in Peace.

Fr. Frawley also was at St. Gabriel for awhile. Were going to miss you at our SJB picnics. It was always "you got any chicken? and a cold beer?" He would ask. RIP Sandra Woods Kappel (69)

Dearest Friend...you re-kindled my faith so long ago, and I still go to mass most every day. From marrying Jackie and I some 30 years ago, to baptizing both of my children. God certainly only takes the BEST. You will assuredly be missed!

You will be missed greatly. You ALWAYS acknowledged everyone at Mass. My daughters have great memories of you telling them what a cute "liitle boy" they are. You have done your work on earth very well with comforting and visiting many people including my family.We will miss you so much.

Father John is the holiest priest I've ever known. My husband, the late Marty Donlan, was Father's first cousin. I will never forget the beautiful mass Father said for our wedding anniversary just before Marty passed away. You will be missed Father John.

I graduated from St. Columbanus in 1952 and have fond memories of Father Frawley from my eight years there. Those were the innocent days of wonderful priests who visited classrooms and blessed children.

Fr. Frawley was a reason for going to church at STM. He had a real presence in showing us the workings of a devoted man of God. Am grateful for the kindness he showed to the handicapped. He touched so many hearts with his caring ways. Fr. Frawley, we will truely miss you!

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Fr. Frawley. He was a long time friend of our family, since he and my dad were just kids in Cicero, IL.
I totally appreciated how he would visit my elderly mother at the assisted living home. He always made her day!! My love and thanks to him always,
