John Blank Obituary

Blank, John W. Age 59, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, August 31st, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice home in Joliet. John is survived by his loving family, wife, Carol Blank (Tenta); parents, Donald and Mary Jane Blank (Wright); son, Robert Blank; stepchildren, Daniel Schramm, Robert (Stevi) Schramm, Lisa Petersen; siblings, Jim (Kathleen) Blank, Nancy Morrill, Dave (Sandy) Blank, Ken (Terri) Blank; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Blank. John attended Grace Fellowship Church in Mokena. He was a former member of the Kankakee River Bike Club, the Bike Psychos and the Joliet Bicycle Club. John was employed by the Metra Rail System and was a member of the IEBW Local Union #134. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors; he loved all children and children in turn loved him. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or the Cancer Support Center in Mokena, IL would be appreciated. For information www.kurtzmemorialchapel.com or 815-806-2225.
