Mr.Bean was my 7th grade teacher @ Hookway. We had some unforgettable characters in this class. He would call you out in the classroom,or,take u out in the hallway...if he took u out in the hallway he'd bounce his fingers off your chest and tell you " you are a waste of time,a pure Dee waste.
Edward D the honeybee, his side kick Joe Martin,Ronnie Tate&Bangor Lu,Ralph Thompson aka Muhammad Winkle inventor of the spit ball missile(hollow bic pen minus the inside pen blowing spitballs 80mph/but all these shenanigans going on Mr.Bean didnt take no mess..he tightened up a few bad boys between my hookway years 60-68...altercations tightening up bad "A" Bennie Coffy,Phillip Damon just naming a couple...Mr.Bean wore those Fred McMurray wingtips..very good teacher I'll always remember

I remembeer the afternoon Kennedy died. Mr. Bean (still call him that out of respect) was looking out the windowin our 6-7 grade class at Hookway Ele. school with a very solemn look on his face. I will never forget that look!
He taught his class what self-control means!

To The Bean Family, I want you to know that I am really sorry to hear about your Husband/Father/Grandfather, he was a wonderful man. I was glad to have the pleasure of meeting him and at times discussing photography. I was glad to receive some pictures that he took. They always bring back pleasant memories. I tend to think of him as the photographer since he is usually not in the picture, but he knows when he gets the "shot" that people will be able to keep that happy memory from seeing his picture. So my memory is of Mr. Bean capturing memories that make us look back on parts of our lives with great fondness. May he rest in peace.
