Beloved husband of the late Mary Evelyn Archibald (nee Dietmeyer); loving father of John (Helen Mueller), Mary Ellen Fioti, Rita Marie, Joanne, Denise (the late Patrick) Heraty, Terese (Terry Tramel) Archibald, Lucille (Jules) Stanewicz, Karen, Geri (Richard) Brydon, Mark and the late Paul (Barbara Prendergast), James and Edmund Archibald; dear grandfather of Beth, John, Rebecca, Alicia, Sara, Joseph, David, Arthur, Lisa Marie, Eugene, Loren, Matthew, Scott, Timothy, Devin, Clara, Duncan, Evan, Jeffrey, Anna, Ian, and the late Jeremy; great-grandfather of Alexander, Christopher, Heidi, Jack, Karyn, Justin, Caleb, Christian, Isaac, Hayden, Trevor, Juliette, Maxwell and Evelyn; great-great-grandfather Maya, Oliver, and Charlie; son of the late Lyman W. Archibald and Mary Ellen Archibald; brother of Sr. Mary Doreen; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Graduate of O'Dea High School, Seattle College and Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, Member of St. Barnabas Parish since 1959, member of St. Barnabas Choir, Opus Dei, Board member of St. Catherine of Genoa Parish House Shelter, and member of Kiwanis Golden K. He will be deeply missed by his cherished friends and extended family members. Visitation Friday, August 19th from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Donnellan Funeral Home, 10525 S. Western Ave. and Saturday, August 20th from 9:30 a.m. until the Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church, 10134 S. Longwood Dr., Chicago, IL. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
