I will miss Johanna very much. She always had a kind word and a bright smile for everyone. I knew her for almost 20 years and consider myself very lucky to have had the time I did.

Dear Reinhardt Family,
I write this with tears in my eyes, there are no words to express my sadness on Johanna's passing. We met 30 years ago when our sons were trying out for Evanston hockey, We struck up a casual conversation, found we had much in common, and a friendship was born. I admired her many skills and intelligence, we spent hours together sitting in her sewing room talking, laughing, and sometimes shedding a tear. She used to shake her head at my inability to even sew on a button when she was able to create designer style clothes. I know how much she loved her family and her beautiful grandchildren, and how devoted a wife, mother and grandmother she was. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, the loss of Johanna will be with them forever as it will be with everyone who knew and loved her. Johanna had a deep faith and I hope the knowledge of that will sustain the family. We feel fortunate to have known and had her friendship for so many years, I will deeply miss her.

Reinhardt family and friends -
My mother told me of Mrs. Reinhardt's passing and I immediately went back to the old days playing softball for LGS. I can still hear her voice. I am so very sorry to hear of this and know what a difficult time this is for you. My thoughts are with you -

Dear Reinhardts,
This week, I reviewed over and over the 25 years of my Lincolnwood life and the many ways in which your family and ours grew and grew up together. Joanne, and all of you, are constant threads in the fabric that surrounded my family for all of those years of our lives. We will always be a part of each other's lives because our families helped each of us become the people we are today. You are in our thoughts frequently and certainly now. With love...

Dear Jack and family,
I keep in touch with my old home town through the Chicago Trib, and was so shocked and saddened to read about Joanne's passing (I know it's Johanna, but she was always Joanne to me). I have such fond memories of her and our years coaching Lincolnwood Girls' Softball ... lots of fun for us as well as the girls. She was one special woman. You may remember that Eric kept his German-speaking skills sharp in his conversations with her. I send you all my most sincere condolences.
